Entitled ‘Marama’ (meaning ‘Bright Shining’), the Winter 07 collection showcased an elegant fusion of Miranda’s trademark edgy-classic cuts and hand-dyed fabrics featuring ‘Pacific tartan’ motifs drawing on tropical flower shapes and the tartan grids of Miranda’s own South Island Celtic heritage.

The fashion writers were generous with their praise. “Stunning reinterpretations of traditional nineteenth century garb,” wrote Kate Hannah. “This year, more than ever before, Brown has pushed her work into what’s modern right now,” wrote Stacy Gregg.
